We now have a copy of Nintendo Power's previously mentioned screenshots, courtesy of the Gaming Intelligence Agency.
As you can tell, the battles are similar in appearance to the Final Fantasy Legend series. Commands are executed with the familiar crosspiece menu, and HP and MP gauges are clearly visible. A third number, just barely visible below MP, may be something similar to Lufia II's IP gauge.
